Latin Jazz & World Music with Macumba

Join us in our garden, and enjoy Macumba, one of the most well-known bands in Cyprus, in a music cocktail of Brazilian funk, samba, rumba and guaguanco afro-cuban, blended with a modern post-jazz aesthetic, on Tuesday 4th of August, at 8pm. The famous band that is consisted by three Cypriots and one Chilean, is presenting a different approach to Latin Music, with an explosive repertoire which includes original songs and some versions of Latin – Jazz. 

Born in Cyprus, this excellent band moves towards Latin Jazz and World music directions and paths. The collaboration between Elias Ioannou, Giorgos Morfitis, Rodrigo Caceres and Rodos Panayiotou brings a new air to the music scene of the island. Brazilian rhythms and Afrocuban colours get blended through a modern jazz aesthetic and the result is recorded in the album ‘Como Jugando’, which was released in 2019.
