About the Event
Allusion quartet is excited to present a set of tunes that are part of their first studio album “Odyssey”, as well as new original compositions. The band returns to Technopolis 20, on Tuesday 12th of December at 20:00. Every member puts its own character in the music, while maintaining a balanced - well shaped sound. It’s important for the band to have room for exploration and interplay. These compositions are bringing different stylistic influences together, combining each musician’s personal experiences.

A few words about the musicians
Marios Charalampous (January 4, 1997) is a Cypriot tenor saxophonist and composer currently studying in the Conservatorium van Amsterdam. He has performed in all of the major clubs and festivals in Cyprus. Marios also has had the pleasure of performing in various venues in the Netherlands, Belgium, France, and Italy.
In 2017, Marios Charalampous won the 1st prize at “The Nicolas Economou Foundation (NEF) Scholarship Competition”.
He also appears on two albums as a sideman.
Marios will continue his studies in Amsterdam to pursue his MA in Jazz Saxophone.
Antreas Yerolatsitis is a Cypriot Jazz guitar player. He was born in 1988 in Nicosia, Cyprus. At the age of 6 he started classical piano lessons in a music school in Nicosia. At the age of 15, he had his first classical guitar studies, for 1 year along with the piano. From the age of 16 to 20 he had rock/blues guitar and modern music theory lessons.
At his 20th year he moved to Rotterdam for 1 year, to prepare himself for the entrance examinations of the various conservatories of the Netherlands. He had lessons with teachers like Ed Verhoef and Peter Nieuwerf.
In 2009 he got accepted in the Royal Conservatory of The Hague as a Jazz Guitar performance bachelor student. After the bachelor he got in the master’s program of the Royal Conservatory from where he graduated in the summer of 2015. Since then he is performing on a regular basis with various projects and groups in musical events, festivals and various stages and clubs, along with music teaching.
Kyriakos Kestas is a Cypriot upright bass player from Limassol. He started his music career at the age of 15, when he started his studies at the Limassol Music High School. He got his first bass lessons as a student of Irenaeos Koullouras and later went on to study and graduate from the Royal Conservatory of the Hague, under the supervision of Clemens van der Feen and Gully Gudmundsson.
He is an active member of the Cypriot and Dutch jazz scene, having played in festivals such as the ‘Paradise Jazz Festival’, the ‘Rialto Jazz & Word Music Showcase’, the ‘Leiden Jazz & Blues Festival’ and other.
Omiros Miltiadous is a Cypriot musician who was born in Limassol in 1991. He encountered music for the first time at the age of 16 where he enrolled to have lessons with one of the most prominent drummers of the island, George Koulas where he was taught Latin percussions and drums. After he finished his military service he started his preparation for his studies with another great drummer, Stelios Xydias. In 2012, he was enrolled in The
Royal Conservatory of The Hague where he obtained his B.A. and M.S. degree on Jazz Drumming with the great Eric Ineke as a main teacher. He had lessons and workshops with drummers such as Adam Nussbaum, John Riley, Nasheet Waits and Eric Harland. Since then Omiros has performed at some major European scenes, theatres and festivals such as Bimhuis, North Sea Festival, North Sea Round Town and performed with great Ducth musicians such as Benjamin Herman, Renier Bass and Rob van Bavel. Omiros is currently active playing and recording in various band formations and functions in Cyprus.
