We are delighted to invite you to the piano and violin concert featuring violinist Lyusi Hovhannesyan and pianist David Anastasiou, who come together for a refined evening of Romantic and early-20th-century works.

The recital is underwritten by luthier Marios Pavlou who has kindly provided an instrument to Miss Hovhannesyan for this recital. Mr Pavlou will also make a short presentation regarding the art of violin offering audiences an opportunity to hear his instruments live in a full recital setting.

Το 2025 φεύγει και μας αφήνει ένα ξεχωριστό πρόγραμμα γεμάτο πολιτιστικές δράσεις.
Μια απο τις σημαντικότερες στιγμές που θα θυμόμαστε αυτή τη χρονιά είναι η παράσταση «Μια Ιλιάδα» που δεν ήταν απλώς ένα ακόμη θεατρικό γεγονός, αλλά μια βαθιά βιωματική εμπειρία που άγγιξε το κοινό στον πυρήνα της.
Η Δέσποινα Μπεμπεδέλη, με μια ερμηνεία σπάνιας δύναμης, ωριμότητας και εσωτερικής έντασης, μας καθήλωσε από την πρώτη έως την τελευταία στιγμή. Με απόλυτη λιτότητα στα μέσα και τεράστιο πλούτο στο συναίσθημα και στον λόγο, ανέλαβε το βάρος ενός κειμένου διαχρονικού και απαιτητικού και το μετέτρεψε σε ζωντανή εμπειρία.
Ήταν μια ερμηνεία βαθιά συγκινητική και σπουδαία, από εκείνες που χαράσσονται στη μνήμη και επιβεβαιώνουν γιατί το θέατρο παραμένει αναντικατάστατο.
Ένα κατάμεστο θέατρο, με το κοινό όρθιο να χειροκροτεί θερμά την σπουδαία Δέσποινα Μπεμπεδέλη. Η ένταση της στιγμής, η σιωπή που προηγήθηκε του χειροκροτήματος και η συγκίνηση που ήταν διάχυτη στον χώρο αποτέλεσαν την πιο ουσιαστική ανταμοιβή για όλους τους συντελεστές.
Νιώθουμε μεγάλη χαρά και τιμή που φιλοξενήσαμε την μεγάλη κυρία του θεάτρου και την συγκεκριμένη παράσταση και που το κοινό της Πάφου μοιράστηκε μαζί μας μια εμπειρία τόσο ουσιαστική.
Θέλουμε να ευχαριστήσουμε όλους τους συντελεστές, τον σκηνοθέτη Ανδρέα Αραούζο @araouzos για την εξαιρετική παράσταση, το Σατιρικό θέατρο @satirikotheatro_cyprus και τους υπόλοιπους συντελεστές, όπως και τον Δήμο Πάφου @pafos.municipality που στήριξε την παράσταση.

For 11 years, Technopolis 20 has been a living space for culture — a place where artists & audiences meet, exchange, & create together.
What started in 2014 as a small initiative in a welcoming house & garden, has gradually grown into an active cultural presence that extends beyond its own walls, bringing larger productions to other venues across Pafos, & embracing a wide range of artistic expressions.
Mainly supported by its own funds, with only a few exceptions, Technopolis 20 continues to develop step by step, guided by the wish to offer events that reach & resonate with diverse audiences. Today, Pafos has changed — it is more open & ready than ever to welcome fresh ideas & high-quality artistic projects. Through persistence & hard work, we have managed to host artists from abroad, to build collaborations, & to present productions of larger scale, while keeping Technopolis 20’s warm, personal character intact. From our intimate in-house events to the well-known classical music concert series ‘Technopolis 20 Classics’, we continue to bring high-level artistic experiences to the city.
We hold firmly to the belief that the education of children & young people is essential for the artistic & cultural growth of our city. We actively demonstrate this commitment by offering free workshops to young students whenever distinguished artists visit Pafos, & through the Paphos Flute Choir — the first of its kind in Cyprus — hosted at Technopolis 20, with the goal of creating more ensembles that will become an enduring part of the city’s cultural life.
Our vision is to move forward, to grow, & to keep offering opportunities for creativity — even when every small step requires overcoming many obstacles. What keeps us going is our passion for the arts & culture – we believe in their power to unite, to inspire, & to transform.

Technopolis 20 marks its 11th anniversary with a special concert that brings together the musical traditions of Argentina, Spain, Italy, France, Greece, and Cyprus, offering the audience the opportunity to experience a unique journey through sound and emotion. The event will take place on Saturday, 1st of November 2025, at 7pm at the Markideio Theatre in Pafos.

Through the harmonious combination of classical voice and orchestral instruments, works will be performed that capture the depth and soul of these musical traditions, from tango and chanson to Greek lyricism.

The program features pieces championed by leading orchestras and ensembles, leaving an indelible mark through the sensitivity and power of their interpretations. A journey of passion and emotion, where every piece tells a story.

Highlights include Camille Saint-Saëns’s Danse macabre, Carlos Gardel’s Por una cabeza (Scent of a Woman), Astor Piazzolla’s Libertango, and the suite from Manos Hadjidakis’s landmark work Gioconda’s Smile.

The concert features 8 distinguished musicians — Maria Tsangari (voice), Nikos Pittas (violin), Miranda Papaneocleous (cello), Nikos Ioannou (double bass), Savvas Christodoulou (flute), George Georgiou (clarinet), Marios Nikolaou (percussion), Nikolas Melis (piano).

Θεατρική Παράσταση «Η Τελευταία Συνεδρία του Φρόιντ»

«Η Τελευταία Συνεδρία του Φρόιντ» που ανέβασε (πέρσι και φέτος) η Alpha Square σε φυσικό σκηνικό και φυσικό φωτισμό, ανεβαίνει για τρίτη φορά αυτό το φθινόπωρο, με περιοδεία σε όλες της πόλεις της Κύπρου (ακόμα και στο βουνό!) αλλά και στην Αθήνα. Θα είναι η πρώτη φορά που παρουσιάζεται αυτό το έργο στην Ελλάδα, αφού στην Κύπρο έκανε Πανελλήνια Πρεμιέρα. Η φετινή χρονιά, επίσης, σηματοδοτεί μια δεκαετία από θεατρικές συνεργασίες μεταξύ των σκηνοθετών-ηθοποιών Βαρνάβα Κυριαζή και Ανδρέα Αραούζου, 2015-2025.

Ο βραβευμένος Αμερικανός συγγραφέας Mark St. Germain, με ιδιαίτερη κλίση στην ιστορική μυθοπλασία, φαντάζεται μια πρώτη και τελευταία συνάντηση του θρυλικού συγγραφέα Σι Ες Λιούις με έναν από τους σημαντικότερους διανοούμενους του 20ου αιώνα, τον Σίγκμουντ Φρόιντ, το 1939. Δύο μέρες μετά την έναρξη του Δεύτερου Παγκοσμίου Πολέμου, στο γραφείο του Φρόιντ στο Χάμπστεντ στο Λονδίνο, ο Αυστριακός πατέρας της ψυχανάλυσης και τρανός άθεος θα συνομιλήσει με τον Ιρλανδό συγγραφέα (μελλοντικά διάσημο για Τα Χρονικά της Νάρνια), γνωστό για τη μεταστροφή και τα γραπτά του στο Χριστιανισμό. Η συνομιλία τους, γεμάτη ευγένεια αλλά και πρόκληση, περιστρέφεται γύρω από την ύπαρξη του Θεού, την κόρη του Φρόιντ, τη συγκάτοικο του Λιούις, το τραύμα του Λιούις ως στρατιώτης στον πρώτο παγκόσμιο πόλεμο και την αυτοκτονία που ο Φρόιντ σχεδιάζει (και, ιστορικά, θα διαπράξει είκοσι μέρες αργότερα).

Σε κάθε σταθμό της περιοδείας του φθινοπώρου, πολύ μικρός αριθμός θεατών θα κάθεται μαζί με τις δύο ιστορικές φιγούρες στο «γραφείο του Φρόιντ» στο φυσικό φως της ημέρας! Οι Βαρνάβας Κυριαζής και Ανδρέας Αραούζος σκηνοθετούν και ενσαρκώνουν τις δύο επιβλητικές προσωπικότητες, σε διπλές παραστάσεις με το πιο κάτω πρόγραμμα παραστάσεων.

Κάθε τοποθεσία της περιοδείας είναι ξεχωριστή, συμπεριλαμβανομένου του παλιού αρχοντικού του «Τεχνόπολις 20» στην Πάφο.

Two unforgettable evenings of classical music opened this year’s Technopolis20 Classics series.

On 19 September, Romanian cellist Andrei Ioniță and Russian pianist Igor Andreev offered a breathtaking recital, performing works by Beethoven, Shostakovich, Glazunov and more. Their dialogue on stage was full of passion, intensity and deep musicality, leaving the audience captivated.

On 21 September, the magic continued, joined by the 17th year old talented Cypriot pianist Anna Avramidou, who brought freshness and energy to the stage. Together, the three musicians created moments of lyricism and brilliance, in a concert that highlighted both virtuosity and emotion.

Technopolis 20 welcomes “Da Trio” in its beautiful garden on Tuesday 19th of August, 8pm. Da Trio's basis is the tradition filled with influences from today. Their repertoire is inspired from the legendary piano trios of jazz history like Ahmad Jamal, Oscar Peterson, Bill Evans, mixed with arrangements of jazz standards and original compositions.
Da Trio is formed by Christos Yerolatsitis on piano from Cyprus, Xavi Castillo on bass from Catalonia, and Karles Pérez on drums from the south of Spain. Their love and dedication for the jazz tradition is what glues the three together. @cyerolatsitis @karlesperez

Την προηγούμενη Τετάρτη, 6 Αυγούστου, ο κήπος του Τεχνόπολις 20 φιλοξένησε μια ξεχωριστή συναυλία αλληλεγγύης για στήριξη οικογενειών που έχουν πληγεί από τις πρόσφατες καταστροφικές πυρκαγιές. Η συμμετοχή του κοινού ήταν θερμή και συγκινητική. Σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ για την στήριξη!

Ένα μεγάλο ευχαριστώ στους μουσικούς Στέφανη Νεοφύτου, Φοίβη Ιορδάνους, Σπύρο Σωκράτους, Άρη Κωνσταντίνου, Δημήτρη Τερπίζη και Λευτέρη Μουμτζή (Freedom Candlemaker) που στήριξαν την προσπάθεια με πολλή αγάπη και έπαιξαν στον χώρο μας αφιλοκερδώς.
