The Equinox Jazz Quartet invites you to a jazz evening under the starts, at Technopolis 20 garden, on Thursday, 1st of August 2019, at 8:30pm. Enjoy a programme that combines elements of traditional and modern jazz with funk and Latin influences.
The quartet consists by Giorgos Krasidis (saxophones), Marinos Neophytou (guitar), Ioannis Karseras (bass) and Marios Gregoriou (drums).

A few words about the musicians
Giorgos Krasidis (Born April 10, 1970 in Limassol, Cyprus). Saxophonist/clarinettist, composer, conductor and educator. Krasidis studied at Berklee college of Music, (tenor saxophone jazz performance) and at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, (Classical Saxophone Performance) and graduated Summa cum Laude. Krasidis is the founder of Jazzologia Cyprus Big Band and Saxomania Syndicate Saxophone Ensemble. Also he is the Band master of Limassol Municipality Concert Band. He has performed and recorded several albums as a soloist and sideman. Krasidis shared the stage both as a performer and educator with jazz leading figures, including Dr Gene Aitken, Dave Glenn, Damian Erskine, Denny J. Eupraset, J. Kyle Gregory, Alex Sipiagin and many others. As an educator he teaches saxophone and the jazz idiom at the ARTE Music Academy in Nicosia, Cyprus and at the Cyprus Government Music Schools.
Marinos Neophytou: Has studied jazz music and jazz performance on guitar at Berklee College of Music in America. From very small age deals with improvisation and performing with small bands in which you will see him occasionally playing different musical instruments. From 2012 until today has partnered with renowned jazz singer Sarah Fenwick with which they have recorded their own music. So far they have recorded 2 albums (JAZZ WAY, JAZZ ORIGINS).
Ioannis Karseras is a Βass player from Limassol, Cyprus. Ioannis received a Bachelor in music, Jazz Studies, Double Bass from the University of Northridge California State. Ioannis performed and recorded his original music in Cyprus and USA with various artists and participated in folk music programs in Europe.
Marios Gregoriou: Professional musician/drumer/drum tutor and composer. He is a holder of a BA (Hons) Degree in music from the ACM-Middlesex University. Gregoriou collaborated as a side man in performances with well-known names in the music scene such as the Flamengo Guitarist/Songwriter and co-producer of Aldi Meola, Hernan Romero. In 2013 Gregoriou released his debut modern jazz album entitled "After All". During the last two years he performs around Cyprus presenting his new original compositions with his band called Next Formation and as a sideman in other various projects.
