Reshma Shrivastava was born into a family of professional musicians in Allahabad, India. Her uncle, Prof. Satish Chandra, an artist from the Pt. Ravi Shankar’s tradition, was her first teacher. She began her lifelong musical career on the sitar when she was six years old. At eight, she gave her first public performance and began broadcasting on the radio even earlier. An "A" grade artist, her childhood performances are still being played on the radio in India today.
Reshma received her Master's degree in Sitar from Allahabad University and has received numerous prestigious awards. A gifted musician, her sitar performances span the globe. She has highlighted concerts throughout India, Great Britain, France, Holland, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Slovenia, Israel and the United States. Reshma is the proud mother of two budding performers. Her husband, Theodore Pizanis, and their children, Ricky and Sakshi, currently divide their time between India, Greece, and the US.

The Cultural Centre “Technopolis 20” in Pafos, invites you to the first personal iconography exhibition of Marina Cushnirenko that was opened on Friday, July 24.
The exhibition is taking place with the support of the Honorary Consulate of the Russian Federation in Paphos and the blessing of Paphos Metropolis.
According to the artist “the visitors will have the opportunity to see a different art of iconography, a personal technique that I have developed with no training”.

The Cultural Centre “Technopolis 20” under its artistic programme organizes open-air screenings at its outdoor venue, every Thursday, at 8.30pm, free to the public, starting with this Thursday, July 23.
The aim of the screenings is to promote the Cypriot Directors and not only work, to bring the audience closer to the art of cinema and inform the people about important personalities and different social issues.
The screenings of the 20th, 23rd and 27th of August, with the addition of a Sunday, are organized in collaboration with the Goethe – Institut, where three German movies will be presented.
Come and enjoy a beautiful night in the city centre and have a different experience: cinema under the stars.

Countryside Animafest Cyprus — Views of the World returns this summer with its 14th edition, on July 13 to 18. This year more than 40 distinguished independent filmmakers from all over the world, including Cyprus, armed with their dreams and their craft, express a strong social commentary through their films. The struggle of humans to create beauty in this world against all odds is at the heart of their work. The festival will take place at Palaepaphos archaeological site, at Hambis Printmaking Museum and at the cultural centre Technopolis 20.
During the festival, a children’s film program will take place at Technopolis 20, from Monday to Wednesday, July 13 – 15, where the young audience will enjoy films such as Prince Ki-Ki-Do by Grega Mastnak, The Elephant and the Bycycle by Olesya Shchukina, Nikola Tesla’s Secret Laboratory by Bruno Razum, Ivan and the Wolf by Anna Levinson, Caterpillar and Hen by Michela Donini, Children’s time by Nina Bisyarina, Lune by Toma Leroux and Patric Delage, A little star by Svetlana Andrianova and many more. A part of this year’s children’s film program is curated in collaboration with ANIMATEKA International Animated Film Festival in Slovenia. Screenings start at 20:45.
Additionally, a storyboard workshop for children will take place by the cartoon artist Panagiota Michael (Monday – Tuesday, 18:30 – 20:30, participation 5 euro for both days). The children will have the opportunity to gain information about the creation of animation and develop their own storyboards according to a given story. After the end of the workshop, on Wednesday, July 15, the audience will be able to enjoy a small storyboards exhibition organised by the children participating in the workshop. Sounds of flamenco – rumba style blended with origins from world music, blues and jazz you will have the opportunity to enjoy by the music group Rumba Attack, on Saturday, July 25, at 20.30 at Technopolis 20 in Pafos.
Rumba Attack is a music group from Cyprus consisting of Constantinos Lyras and Memnon Arestis on guitars, and Savvas Thoma on cajon/percussion.
The trio performs their own original instrumental material in a distinctive Spanish Flamenco-Rumba style, blended with sounds from World music, Blues & Jazz. They also perform a selection of covers, as well as vocal adaptations of old Greek songs.
Rumba Attack play regularly at bars, public spaces and venues, as well as at the island’s finest music & arts festivals.
They are soon to release their first full-length studio album with their own original songs.
